Migrants from Kyrgyzstan to be able to work in South Korea
Residents of Talas region will have the opportunity to find a job in South Korea under the centralized recruitment program. The Center for Employment of Citizens Abroad under the Ministry of Labour, Social Security and Migration reported.
According to the agency, this became possible due to the signing of an agreement with the leadership of Gochang County of the Republic of Korea. According to the document, this year 50 residents of Talas region will be employed for short-term agricultural work (up to five months), and next year the quota will be increased to 300 people.
Selection of the residents of the region will be carried out by the office of the Presidential Envoy to Talas region, which will announce the conditions and rules of this procedure.
Sending of citizens of Kyrgyzstan to Korea due to restrictions related to COVID-19 was suspended by the Korean side in March 2020. From December 29, 2021, the country resumed acceptance of Kyrgyzstanis under employment contracts.
