Amount allocated from budget for school meals to be increased in 2023
The amount allocated for meals in schools of Kyrgyzstan will be increased from 2023. The Deputy Minister of Finance Zhibek Duisheeva announced at a meeting of the parliamentary committee on social policy.
According to her, the budget is not ready for allocation of an additional amount for school meals from the beginning of the new academic year.
«Earlier, there was a proposal to raise the amount for each student from 7 to 14 soms, this will require 650 million soms. This is a big sum. If we raise it to 20 soms, then we can only do it in 2023. We began to form a budget for next year,» she said.
