Foreign Minister and head of U.S. Central Command discuss border issues
Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan Jeenbek Kulubaev received the head of the U.S. Central Command, General Michael Kurilla, who arrived in Kyrgyzstan. Press service of the ministry reported.
The parties exchanged views on the issues of strengthening borders, countering transnational threats in the context of the situation in Afghanistan.
Jeenbek Kulubaev stressed the importance of coordinating regional efforts in order to improve regional security.
Possibilities of humanitarian cooperation were considered separately.
