The Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan received entrepreneurs delegated by the participants of a rally against introduction of cash registers. Press service of the Cabinet reported.

Akylbek Japarov noted that the introduction of cash registers is primarily aimed at reducing the volume of the shadow economy and smuggling. Fiscalization and digitalization are being introduced in order to have a system of accounting and movement of goods.

"At the same time, we are ready for dialogue and together we will look for a mutually beneficial agreed solution. A working group of entrepreneurs and government agencies has been created, we will consider all options based on different criteria and categories of business,” the head of the Cabinet said.   

The rally participants told about the problems associated with the introduction of cash registers, including the need to revise the established requirements for the sales volume of the retail and wholesale segment and based on the individual characteristics of the goods sold and the resulting margin.

The official told that the introduction of cash registers and, in general, the digitalization of tax procedures would take place in several stages.

"We will train tax officials, if necessary, we will refresh the staff of the tax service, but the goods accounting system should work. A digital map of each region has already been made, data from all regions is being collected in the situation center. It is important that you receive invoices for the purchased goods, and if you are engaged in the sale of alcohol, cigarettes and medicines, install free cash registers. We will make the rest of the conditions flexible and convenient for all groups of entrepreneurs,” he added.

The working group of delegated entrepreneurs and representatives of state bodies will work for 10 days. As a result of the work, conditions for the introduction and use of cash registers will be developed based on the individual characteristics of each of the trade outlets.
