Cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and Germany: Focus on export and investments
«There are key points that Kyrgyzstan and Germany should pay attention to in cooperation,» an Honorary Consul of the Kyrgyz Republic in Hamburg Karl Hugo Ernst Ehlerding said today. He named the key points at the first meeting of the Kyrgyz-German Business Council.
According to him, the first aspect is the export of products from Kyrgyzstan. The second important point is attraction of investments.
«My investment in Steinbrau has led to the fact that German beer can still be tasted in Kyrgyzstan. The third is labor migration. We are in need of young people who are well educated and who can come to Germany, work and come back. It is mutually beneficial,» Karl Hugo Ernst Ehlerding said.
He also drew attention to the issues of taxation and development of the stock exchange. Fluctuations in the exchange rate of the som against the euro also cause concern of the German side. He suggested considering measures to stabilize the situation.
