Rally against compulsory installation of cash registers takes place in Bishkek

Another rally against compulsory installation of cash registers is held in Bishkek.

About 50 entrepreneurs came to protest in front of the government building. They demand from the authorities to cancel the mandatory installation of cash registers.

There are also police officers on site. One of them said that representatives of the Cabinet of Ministers would soon meet with the protesters and listen to their questions and demands again.

The protesters came from different regions of the country. They claim that other entrepreneurs are also heading to the Old Square.

Rallies against installation of cash registers are repeatedly held for the last six months.

On June 11, the Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers has already met with entrepreneurs working at Dordoi Food market in the capital. He told them about the need to install cash registers, explaining that the process is aimed at reducing the shadow economy and smuggling, as well as implementation of social obligations assumed by the state. Apparently, the official’s arguments did not convince the sellers.
