Foreign Minister proposes to improve procedures for use of CSTO forces
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic Jeenbek Kulubaev took part in a regular meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the CSTO.
According to the press service of the Foreign Affairs Ministry, the participants exchanged views on topical issues on the international and regional agenda, as well as further interaction on issues that have a negative impact on the situation in the regions, including those located in close proximity to the CSTO area of responsibility.
Jeenbek Kulubaev, in his speech, noted the need to improve the procedure for using the collective forces of the CSTO, as well as to increase the efficiency of functioning of the CSTO crisis response center.
The parties agreed to continue close cooperation to respond to existing and emerging challenges and threats to the security of the CSTO member states.
Jeenbek Kulubaev also took part in the meeting of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan with the Foreign Ministers of the CSTO member states.
Following the meeting, a statement was adopted by the heads of the Foreign Ministries of the CSTO member states on international security issues and a plan of consultations of representatives of the CSTO member states on foreign policy, defense and security issues for 2022-2024 was approved.
