Construction of Kambarata HPP-1 costs $2.9 billion
The total cost estimate for the construction of Kambarata HPP-1 is $2,916.6 billion. Press service of the President of Kyrgyzstan provided such data.
Construction of the facility will consist of six phases. It is financed at the expense of budgetary funds and investments.
About 1.5 billion soms were allocated from the republican budget for preparatory work on the construction site of Kambarata HPP-1. The construction period is from eight to ten years. Commissioning of the first hydroelectric unit of the HPP is planned in four years, if there is permanent financing.
