Kyrgyzstan calls on UAE business to invest in energy, tourism
Ravshan Sabirov called on investors from the United Arab Emirates to invest in energy, tourism, industry and told about plans to build Asman city in Issyk-Kul region. The head of the National Investment Agency said it at the Kyrgyz-Arab Business Forum.
He told that Masdar from the UAE has already expressed interest in investing in the construction of a solar station in Kyrgyzstan. Its estimated capacity is 10 megawatts.
«This is an important step. I really hope that there will be more such initiatives. It is possible to build 33 small hydroelectric power plants with a total capacity of 6,450 megawatts and generate more than 22 billion kilowatt-hours of electricity on Naryn river only,» Ravshan Sabirov said.
