Price of sugar grows by 9 soms in Kyrgyzstan since beginning of May
Since the beginning of May, sugar has risen in price by 9 soms in Kyrgyzstan. The National Statistical Committee provided such data.
If, as of May 2, the average cost of sugar in the country was 86.38 soms, then as of May 30 it reached 95.38 soms. At the same time, the price of the product grew the most in Toktogul (by 17.7 soms), Balykchy ( by 14.2 soms), Bishkek ( by 12.73 soms).
At the same time, there are regions where sugar, on the contrary, has fallen in price. These are Osh (by 5.05 soms), Kara-Suu (by 2.34 soms) and Uzgen (by 1.37 soms).
Earlier, in order to prevent unreasonable growth in sugar prices, the Antimonopoly Regulation Service conducted monitoring in all regions of the republic. The analysis showed that there is no shortage of sugar in the country, but its prices began to grow.
