President of Belarus suggests following China in information war
«We need to think seriously and maybe follow the way of China in the information war, especially on the Internet,» the President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko said at the anniversary meeting of the CSTO today.
According to him, one of the objectives of the Collective Security Treaty should be a more effective countering threats and challenges in the information space. It should also include combating fakes and disinformation.
«It is clear that a hybrid war is being waged against us today, an integral part of which is information war. To counter this, we should make maximum use of the potential of the CSTO agreement of 2017 on information security. We need to actively promote the CSTO on social media, which are intensively used by our Western opponents,» Alexander Lukashenko said.
