Weather alert: Rain, thunderstorms, snow in mountainous areas
In connection with the expected downpours in the mountainous regions of the republic, mudflows are possible, and water level in the rivers could rise. Press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations reported.
Unstable weather is expected in Kyrgyzstan on May 14-15: occasional rain, thunderstorms, snow is expected in the high mountainous regions. Hail is possible in some areas.
«The air temperature will drop. The wind speed will reach 4-9 meters per second, in some places — 15-20 meters per second. Such unstable weather can complicate the work of utility companies, power industry specialists, grazing of cattle,» the ministry said.
