Kyrgyzstanis serving sentences visited in Tajikistan
Representatives of the Embassy of Kyrgyzstan in Tajikistan visited correctional institutions where citizens of Kyrgyzstan are serving their sentences. Press service of the Foreign Affairs Ministry reported.
The staff of the diplomatic mission visited the prison colony 1 in the city of Vahdat, prison colony 4 in the city of Dushanbe and prison colony 6 in Yavon district. They got acquainted with the conditions of detention of citizens of Kyrgyzstan serving their sentences. Convicted citizens were told about the ongoing work on the comprehensive protection of their legal rights and interests.
As part of the visit to correctional institutions, the embassy, in cooperation with the competent authorities of Tajikistan, organized a video call between convicted Kyrgyzstanis and their relatives.
