Situation in Ukraine: Radio Liberty journalist Vera Girich dies in Kyiv
Radio Liberty journalist Vera Girich died in Ukraine. Her colleagues reported.
According to them, her body was found under the rubble of a residential building that collapsed as a result of a missile attack on Kyiv on April 28.
Vera Girich reportedly started working at the Kyiv bureau of Radio Liberty on February 1, 2018. Prior to that, she worked for leading Ukrainian TV channels.
According to the Kyiv authorities, rockets hit a military facility and a 25-story residential building, the first two floors of which partially collapsed and a fire broke out.
Earlier, the National Union of Journalists of Ukraine reported that at least 20 journalists have been killed in Ukraine since the start of hostilities.
