Head of Alamedin Development Fund detained for extortion
Director of the Development Fund of Alamedin district of Chui region was detained. The press center of the State Committee for National Security of Kyrgyzstan (SCNS) reported.
The official extorted $35,000 from a citizen, promising to resolve the issue within a civil case and make a new decision in her favor.
«The official has previously received $97,500 from her for resolving this issue. At the same time, he additionally extorted $35,000, referring to high-ranking officials of the judicial system. According to the suspects, it was they who received $97,500. The detainee was placed in the pre-trial detention center of the SCNS for extortion. Investigation is underway,» the press center said.
