Kazakhstan to terminate agreement on order of stay of security forces
Kazakhstan plans to withdraw from the 1997 agreement with Kyrgyzstan on the order of stay of the security forces. Kazakh media report.
According to them, the decree of the President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev says that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan, in accordance with the procedure established by law, was instructed to notify the Kyrgyz Republic of its intention not to become a party to the Treaty on the procedure for the stay and interaction of law enforcement and security services on the territory of both states.
The agreement was signed in Almaty on April 8, 1997.
