Shooting at border: All evacuated residents return to their homes
All evacuated residents in Batken region returned to their homes. The Ministry of Emergency Situations of Kyrgyzstan reported.
It is noted that the situation in Leilek and Batken districts has stabilized. Transportation of 708 people, accommodated in temporary shelters, home has been completed.
Some 17,799 people who moved to their relatives returned to their homes on their own.
Another shootout occurred yesterday night on the Kyrgyz-Tajik border. The border guards of the Republic of Tajikistan opened fire on the servicemen of the Kyrgyz Republic at about 9.17 p.m. during a meeting of border representatives of Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan, who arrived at the scene of the incident as a reinforcement. After midnight, the parties agreed to withdraw additional forces to the points of their permanent deployment.
