Shooting at border: Residents of evacuated villages return to their homes
Residents of evacuated villages in Batken region of Kyrgyzstan are returning to their homes. Press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations reported.
The situation is reportedly stable in Batken and Leilek districts. It is specified that 18,507 people were evacuated from the affected villages, 17,799 people of whom (3,398 families) temporarily moved to relatives, and 708 people were accommodated in temporary centers.
At least 8,687 people, who moved to their relatives, returned home.
Some 554 residents of Leilek district and 33 residents of Batken district evacuated to temporary accommodation centers of the Ministry of Emergency Situations also returned to their homes.
