Brother of singer Bek Borbiev appointed Consul General of Kyrgyzstan in Chicago
Brother of a singer Bek Borbiev, Bolotbek Borbiev, has been appointed a Consul General of Kyrgyzstan in Chicago. Press service of the President reported.
Sadyr Japarov signed the relevant decree.
In 2008, Bolotbek Borbiev was the director of the State Automobile Inspectorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. From 2009 to 2010 — head of the Main Traffic Safety Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. In August 2010, he was on the party list of Ata Zhurt party in the parliamentary elections. But he has not received a mandate.
He worked as a Minister of Emergency Situations in the government of Almazbek Atambayev since December 20, 2010.
