Edil Baisalov makes statement on Kumtor at UN European Forum in Geneva
Deputy Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan Edil Baisalov, opening the Regional Forum on Sustainable Development for the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe, drew the attention of the world community to the agreement between Kyrgyzstan and the Canadian mining company Centerra Gold Inc. «Our largest gold deposit and national treasure has completely become the property of the state. The agreement concluded was peaceful and mutually beneficial for the stakeholders. The Kyrgyz Republic reaffirms its commitment to protecting the rule of law and providing all international and national guarantees for international investment. Our country is open for business,» Edil Baisalov said.
