Cabinet of Ministers to hold forum on development of energy sector
The Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan will hold a forum «Transformation of the energy sector of the Kyrgyz Republic on the way to affordable and sustainable energy of the future.» Press service of the Cabinet reported.
Its participants will discuss the main directions of energy sector reforms and investment cooperation, issues of improving interaction between international development partners in support of reforms in the energy sector in the country. The forum will be attended by the Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, international development partners, representatives of government agencies and investors.
Participants will also discuss priorities for the development of solar energy with participation of the private sector, a strategy (roadmap for reforms and priority investments) for reforming the energy sector, social protection measures for the population on energy sector issues. A panel discussion «Favorable environment for implementation of solar energy projects in the Kyrgyz Republic», as well as a discussion of the contribution of international financial institutions to the reform of the domestic energy sector will also be held.
