Kumtor works less with local companies, deputy claims
Kumtor started working more with foreign suppliers. Deputy Nurzhigit Kadyrbekov announced at a meeting of the Parliament today.
According to him, earlier the company gave priority to local enterprises when conducting tenders.
«Kumtor worked with domestic companies before. Kazakh and Turkish entrepreneurs begun to win more tenders. If so, then the money still goes abroad,» the deputy said.
Nurzhigit Kadyrbekov urged the Cabinet of Ministers to work hard at the mine. «Now it is necessary to work well for the sake of honor. We need to show the whole world that the Kyrgyz themselves can develop the mine,» he said.
