National Bank of Kyrgyzstan changes rules for work with bank cards
It has been decided to amend the resolution of the National Bank of Kyrgyzstan on approval of the regulation on bank payment cards. Website of the bank says.
The amendments were reportedly made to protect the rights of consumers.
Banks were obliged to inform their clients about possible schemes of currency conversion in conducting transactions through bank payment cards.
In late February and early March, clients of commercial banks began to complain about strange currency conversion rates. Holders of multi-currency cards faced problems most often. They reported that they lost significant amounts of money due to unfavorable exchange rates during automatic currency conversion.
