Manas airport employees extort money from foreign passengers
Employees of Manas International Airport extorted money from foreign passengers. Press center of the State Committee for National Security of Kyrgyzstan reported.
According to it, customs officials established a steady criminal scheme, extorting and taking bribes from foreign passengers of flights arriving from countries that are not members of the Eurasian Economic Union.
An employee was detained and placed in the pre-trial detention center of the State Committee for National Security on the fact of committing a crime under Article 342 «Taking a bribe» of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic. Another employee is under house arrest.
Investigation is underway to identify the officials involved in the crime.
