Edil Baisalov discusses health issues with World Bank mission
Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan Edil Baisalov met with the head of the World Bank Office in Kyrgyzstan Naveed Hassan Naqvi. Press service of the Cabinet reported.
The parties discussed topical issues of cooperation in the field of healthcare.
Edil Baisalov noted the importance of continuing effective cooperation with the World Bank and expressed gratitude for the support provided to the republic during the COVID-19 pandemic. He stressed the readiness for further implementation of the planned programs and projects.
The World Bank Country Manager Naveed Naqvi noted the commitment to continue cooperation in areas of mutual interest and priority for the country.
«The parties discussed the issues of strengthening the system of compulsory health insurance, significant improvement of the quality of medical services, expanding the coverage of the population with medical services, regulation of prices for medicines, vaccination rates, as well as preparing the participation of the delegation of the Kyrgyz Republic in the spring meetings of the World Bank,» the press service added.
