Western Union to stop working in Russia, Belarus from March 24
The National Bank of Kyrgyzstan received a notification from NCO Western Union DP Vostok LLC about the termination of work of the money transfer system without opening a Western Union bank account in the Russian Federation and the Republic of Belarus from March 24, 2022. The National Bank reported.
It is noted that all cross-border transfers sent from Russia and Belarus through the Western Union system before March 24, 2022 will be paid to recipients.
At the same time, all transfers from Kyrgyzstan to other countries and to the republic from all countries will continue to be carried out in the usual manner.
«As NCO Western Union DP Vostok LLC assured, the company will continue to comply with all obligations under agreements concluded with partners of Kyrgyzstan, that is, commercial banks,» the National Bank said.
