Dollar appreciates by more than 20 percent since beginning of 2022 in Kyrgyzstan
Official exchange rate of the U.S. dollar against the Kyrgyz som has grown by 21.61 percent since the beginning of 2022 to March 11. The National Bank of Kyrgyzstan provided such data.
If at the beginning of the year the currency cost 84.8 soms, today it is 103.1214 soms. It has appreciated by 5.55 percent in the last 24 hours.
Appreciation of the U.S. dollar began in Kyrgyzstan at the end of February against the backdrop of Russia’s special operation in Ukraine and the sanctions imposed against the Russian Federation.
