Drivers to be fined 5,500 soms for Z stickers on cars in Bishkek
Drivers are fined for stickers with Z sign on their cars in Bishkek. Spokesman for the Department of Patrol Police Service of the capital Baigazy Aitkul uulu confirmed the information to 24.kg news agency.
According to him, such stickers on cars do not meet the requirements of the Code of Offences.
«This is contrary to Paragraph 1 of Article 194. It entails a fine of 5,500 soms, the car will be impounded. You can not stick a sign on a car without special permission. This applies not only to the Z sign, but also to other stickers,» he said.
Russian military equipment with the same symbol is in Ukraine. The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation explained what the letters mean: Z — for victory, V — strength in truth.
