Balykchy - Kara-Keche railway project being developed in Kyrgyzstan
Kyrgyz Temir Zholu National Company has been chosen as the customer for the construction of Balykchy — Kochkor — Kara-Keche railway. The corresponding decision was signed by the Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan Akylbek Japarov.
The decision was made for the development of the railway network, transport support for the development of Kara-Keche brown coal deposit and further development of the economy of the republic and regions.
The first stage in the implementation of Balykchy — Kochkor — Kara-Keche project is the construction of a section of Balykchy — Kochkor railway with a length of 63 kilometers. A feasibility study of the project is being developed with involvement of design and survey institutes and specialized professionals.
