40 photos taken in south of Kyrgyzstan in 1906 found in museum of France
The National History Museum of Kyrgyzstan hosted a presentation of 40 photographs taken in the summer of 1906 in the south of the country by a French photographer Charles Nouette during Paul Pélliot’s expedition to Beijing. The Embassy of France in the Kyrgyz Republic reported.
The photographs are stored in the Guimet National Museum of Asian Arts in Paris.
The author of the presentation is Xavier Hallez, an employee of the French Institute for Central Asian Studies.
