National Flag Day celebrated on Ala-Too square in Bishkek
National Flag Day is celebrated on the central Ala-Too square in Bishkek.
A part of Chui Avenue from Orozbekov Street to Erkindik Boulevard is closed for traffic today from 6 a.m. to the noon, as well as the Old square — a section of Abdymomunov Street from Orozbekov Street to Erkindik Boulevard.
The head of state congratulated the Kyrgyzstanis on the National Flag Day.
Municipal and civil servants, representatives of the diplomatic corps, as well as residents of the capital were present on the central Ala-Too square.
A parade of the country’s law enforcement and armed forces units took place.
The National Flag Day is celebrated annually on March 3. The holiday was established to instill in citizens the spirit of patriotism and respect for the state symbols of the country.
