National Bank does not bar exchange offices, banks from selling foreign currency
There were no recommendations from the National Bank of Kyrgyzstan to limit operations with foreign currency. The official representative of the National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic Aida Karabaeva announced at a briefing.
According to her, there is no shortage of foreign currency in the country. If there is a need, the National Bank is ready to enter the market with interventions.
«We are working as usual, monitoring exchange offices and commercial banks. They are trading now. If some banks impose restrictions, then they may be related to the expectations of market participants in connection with volatility,» Aida Karabaeva concluded.
