Zelensky invites Putin to sit down at negotiating table
The President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky invited the Russian President Vladimir Putin to sit down at the negotiating table. TASS reported.
Vladimir Zelensky made another appeal. He thanked the European Union and other countries for the sanctions imposed on Russia. He noted that it was necessary to impose an embargo on oil and disconnect the Russian Federation from SWIFT.
Volodymyr Zelensky also called on the Russians to come out and demand an end to the war. «I want to once again appeal to the President of the Russian Federation: fighting is going on all over Ukraine. Let’s sit down at the negotiating table to stop the fighting,» he called on Vladimir Putin.
On the night of February 24, Vladimir Putin officially announced start of a military special operation in Donbas. An extraordinary meeting of Russia’s Security Council was held in Moscow on February 21 to discuss the issue of recognizing the independence of the DPR and LPR. Russian President Vladimir Putin signed the decree.
