10,000 paulownia saplings to be planted in Osh city
At least 10,000 paulownia saplings will be planted in Osh city for one day. Press service of the City Hall of the southern capital of Kyrgyzstan reported.
At a meeting with representatives of utility service providers and social institutions, Vice Mayor Sonunbek Dzhunusbaev noted that 10,000 paulownia saplings would be delivered in the coming days. They need to be planted for one day.
«The saplings will be delivered as part of the ongoing landscaping and improvement work in the city. Therefore, the task has been set to start this work en masse,» the City Hall added.
Earlier, the City Hall reported that it is planned to plant 35,000 tree saplings this year.
Paulownia tomentosa is a deciduous hardwood tree in the family Paulowniaceae, native to South and Southeast Asia.
