Export of gold decreases three times for 12 months in Kyrgyzstan
Export of gold from Kyrgyzstan decreased three times in 2021. The National Statistical Committee provided such data.
If in 2020 the country exported 17.7 tons, then last year it was only 5.6 tons. In value terms, exports decreased by $678.9 million — from $986.7 million to $308 million.
At the same time, it is interesting that new states have appeared in the structure of exports. In 2021, Kyrgyzstan began to export gold to Italy (27.2 kilograms for $156,800), China (370 kilograms for $21.2 million), Russia (33 kilograms for $1 million) and Switzerland (1 ton for $51.4 million). However, the export of the precious metal to the UK decreased 2.5 times — from 17.6 tons to 4 tons.
