Bishkek to host qualifying tournament for World Dance Championship
Professional dancer from Kyrgyzstan Jan Voinov signed an exclusive contract on holding a qualifying tournament for the World Contemporary Dance Championship in Bishkek. A blogger Michael Bekmambetov told 24.kg news agency.
According to him, Kyrgyzstan will choose the best dancers of the CIS countries, who will be invited to the World Dancing Tournament in Paris.
«It’s a big step in the development of our country’s dancing culture. Kyrgyzstan, along with the United States, Canada and Germany will be a gathering place for the best dancers in the world who will compete for the right to participate in the World Championship in Paris. I am very happy about this news. I am confident that the event will also have a positive impact on the tourist image of Kyrgyzstan and will make it possible to host more large-scale world level events in the future,» the dancer Jan Voinov said.
According to him, the qualifying tournament for the World Dance Championship will be held in the summer of 2022 in Bishkek, where the best dancers from Russia, Kazakhstan and the CIS countries will compete.
