Commission on migration policy created in Russia
President of Russia Vladimir Putin signed a decree on creation of an Interdepartmental Commission of the Security Council on Migration Policy. The Russian media report.
According to them, the new structure will be headed by the Deputy Chairman of the Security Council Dmitry Medvedev.
It is noted that the commission was created to fulfill the tasks of ensuring national security of the state in the field of migration and the regulation of migration processes in the interests of social and economic development.
The structure will also coordinate the activities of various government bodies and organizations in matters of migration policy.
Previously, Dmitry Medvedev said that Russia needed to carry out work on adaptation of people who come to work in the country. According to him, migrants must speak the Russian language and understand the multinational culture.
