All pharmacies in Kyrgyzstan to sell rapid tests for coronavirus
Self-diagnosis of COVID-19 will become available to Kyrgyzstanis. The Ministry of Health reported.
According to it, a rapid test for coronavirus produced in Turkey will be on sale in all pharmacies in the country. The final prices will be set by the pharmacies themselves. But, according to the manufacturer, they are much lower than the cost of PCR test.
The rapid tests are aimed at detecting the coronavirus antigen and its proteins and are represented in form of test strips onto which the patient’s biological material is applied. The testing takes not more than 15 minutes; the result is ready within five minutes.
The results of home testing for COVID-19 cannot be considered official, but are suitable for self-monitoring of the immune status.
