1.2 billion soms allocated in Kyrgyzstan for import of electricity in 2022
At least 1.2 billion soms have already been allocated for electricity imports since the beginning of 2022. The Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan Akylbek Japarov said at the National Forum on Sustainable Energy Industry.
According to him, more than 3.4 billion soms were allocated last year for the purchase of electricity.
«We are passing this autumn-winter period, among other things, thanks to the import of electricity. To date, its shortage is about 6 billion kilowatt-hours. About 3 billion kilowatt-hours of them is the current deficit covered by imports. Another 3 billion is needed to commission new promising industrial enterprises,» Akylbek Japarov said.
