Foreigners can leave Kyrgyzstan without exit visas before March 1
Foreigners who are staying in Kyrgyzstan without registration can leave the country until March 1. This is due to the abolition of the green corridor. The Ministry of Digital Development reported.
It is noted that the Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Akylbek Japarov made the relevant changes to the order. According to the document, all citizens of foreign states and stateless persons who are staying on the territory of the Kyrgyz Republic on a visa and visa-free basis can leave the republic without getting exit visas and registration at the place of their stay until March 1.
The ministry reminds that the green corridor regime for foreigners and stateless persons has been in effect since March 17, 2020. The reason for such a regime was difficulty in leaving the Kyrgyz Republic in a timely manner due to the introduction of a number of restrictive measures, as well as the temporary suspension of air and land communications with various foreign states due to the aggravation of the situation with the spread of COVID-19. To date, flights have been resumed, and therefore the green corridor is canceled.
At the same time, the ministry notes that all Public Service Centers and interregional branches across the country are working as usual, and for registration of foreign citizens, they can contact any Public Service Center or the interregional branch of the Department of Registration of Population and Civil Status Acts under the Ministry of Digital Development.
