Employees of SCNS and Communications Agency prosecuted for corruption
The Military Prosecutor’s Office solved a corruption case on the illegal renewal of a license for use of radio frequencies. The press service of the Prosecutor General’s Office of Kyrgzystan reports.
«Officials of the State Communications Agency and the State Committee for National Security (SCNS), having received a cash reward of $4,000 from a private company Skynet Telecom, illegally renewed the license with a starting price of at least 6 million soms,» the statement says.
As a result of the investigation, two employees of Skynet Telecom, two officials of the State Communications Agency and one employee of the SCNS were charged under the article 336 «Corruption» of the Criminal Code of Kyrgyz Republic. The case has been sent to court.
The license with the starting price of 6,212,850 soms was returned to the state. At least 3 million soms were also recovered to the budget.
