Volume of loan portfolio in Kyrgyzstan increases by 11.8 percent in 2021
Volume of the loan portfolio increased by 11.8 percent last year, while the deposit base grew by 34.3 percent. The National Bank of Kyrgyzstan provided such data.
The interest rates on loans tend to decrease. Thus, an average weighted rate on newly issued loans in national currency decreased by 1.8 percent in December 2021. At the end of the year, rates in foreign currency amounted to 5.2 percent, which is 3 percent lower than in December 2020.
«Indicators of the dollarization of the economy are gradually declining. At the end of last year, dollarization of deposits amounted to 41.2 percent (-1.7 percent since the beginning of the year), loans — 27.9 percent (-5 percent),» the statement says.
