The State Committee for National Security of Kyrgyzstan (SCNS) has nothing to do with the detention of the Temirov Live journalists. The press center of the state committee reported.

The SNSC also stressed that they did not film or share any video of an intimate nature with a member of Bolot Temirov’s team.

The video of a private nature, filmed by a hidden camera, was posted on social media the day before.

«Employees of the state committee are making every effort to preserve the stability and integrity of our society, as well as to ensure the rights and freedoms of citizens. The SCNS has nothing to do with the detention of the journalist Bolot Temirov and the akyn Bolot Nazarov and the distribution of the private video, which is actively discussed in society,» the statement reads.

Interested parties make «loud expressions and epithets» against the committee, accusing it without providing any arguments, much less evidence, thus trying to set the public against the security forces.

The SCNS calls on the public not to succumb to emotions and provocations.

Police officers accompanied by special forces soldiers came to Temirov Live office in Bishkek on January 22. They detained Bolot Temirov and took him to the capital’s Department of Internal Affairs.

It became known later that the colleague of Bolot Temirov, Bolot Nazarov, was also detained. The court released both detainees under the written pledge not to leave country.

Journalists associate the visit of police officers with the professional activities of the Temirov Live team and the latest investigation into the fuel business of the family of the head of the State Committee for National Security Kamchybek Tashiev.
