Kyrgyzstan exports more than 5,000 tons of fish in 2021
Kyrgyzstan exported more than 5,000 tons of fish in 2021. Director of the Fish Industry Department Edil Niyazov told at a press conference in Bishkek.
«There are 194 fish farms registered in Kyrgyzstan. Production of commercial fish in 2021 amounted to 10,344 tons that is two times more than last year. Two types of fish — carps and trout — are mainly grown,» the specialist said.
Along with the increase in production, exports have also increased. So, in 2020, Kyrgyzstan exported a little more than 3,000 tons of fish. It reached more than 5,000 tons last year.
