Laboratory for detection of COVID-19 opened in Talas
The Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan Akylbek Japarov, as part of a working trip to Talas region, took part in the opening of a virological laboratory for detection of COVID-19. Press service of the Cabinet reported.
The modern PCR laboratory is equipped with advanced equipment and is ready to process up to 800 tests per day. Akylbek Japarov noted that such laboratories should be opened in all regions of the republic.
Residents of Talas and laboratory staff stressed that the commissioning of the virological laboratory would greatly facilitate the detection of COVID-19 in citizens, because earlier tests were sent to Bishkek.
According to official figures, 194,607 cases of community-acquired pneumonia and COVID-19 have been registered in the republic since March 2020.
