Prices for fuel and lubricants hit record highs, cost for Kyrgyzstan increases
The prices for diesel fuel following the results of the stock trading hit record highs. TASS reported with reference to the data of the St. Petersburg International Mercantile Exchange (SPIMEX).
The cost of diesel increased during the day and reached 55,360 rubles per ton. The previous price record for this type of fuel was reached on November 12, 2021 (54,990 rubles per ton).
Gasoline AI 92 rose in price by 1.3 percent per day — up to 52,540 rubles per ton.
This state of affairs can directly affect the situation in Kyrgyzstan, because the republic imports 95 percent of fuel and lubricants. The Association of Oil Traders of the Kyrgyz Republic told 24.kg news agency that the cost of fuel at Russian refineries has risen sharply over the past week.
«Gasoline price quotations increased by an average of $110 per ton and diesel fuel — by $130 per ton compared to December,» Kanat Eshatov, head of the Association, said.
