CSTO peacekeepers in Kazakhstan: Kyrgyzstan to send Scorpion special unit
In case of loss of military equipment in Kazakhstan, the CSTO will compensate for the damage. The Defense Minister of Kyrgyzstan Baktybek Bekbolotov told reporters.
According to him, it is possible that the servicemen from Kyrgyzstan will leave for Kazakhstan today.
«Scorpion special unit goes there. These are officers, warrant officers and contract soldiers. They are trained. We will send them immediately after the presidential decree on two planes, on the first — the personnel, on the second — military equipment,» Baktybek Bekbolotov said.
He noted that in case of loss of military equipment, the CSTO will compensate for the damage to Kyrgyzstan.
The Parliament of Kyrgyzstan supported the decision of the head of state to send servicemen as part of the CSTO peacekeeping mission to Kazakhstan.
