Ex-deputy Baktybek Kalmamatov placed in SCNS remand prison
Ex-deputy of Parliament of Kyrgyzstan Baktybek Kalmamatov was placed in the remand prison of the State Committee for National Security (SCNS). The decision was made today by the Pervomaisky District Court of Bishkek.
It is known that the former deputy will be in custody until February 9, 2022.
Baktybek Kalmamatov was escorted off the aircraft at Manas airport at night and taken to the State Committee for National Security on December 22.
The press center of the state committee reported that Baktybek Kalmamatov was involved in inciting interregional enmity through social media. Pre-trial proceedings were started.
«Information about Baktybek Kalmamatov has been confirmed. He was detained and placed in the remand prison of the SCNS on the basis of the evidence collected within the case and an expert’s conclusion,» the SCNS informed.
