New high-voltage substation under construction in northern part of Bishkek
Final work on the construction of a new high-voltage 110/10 kilovolt Altyn Kazyk substation is underway. Press service of Severelectro reported.
The substation will improve the quality of power supply to consumers living in the residential areas Dordoi, Ene-Sai, Dordoi-2, Tendik, Kelechek, Muras-Ordo and others, as well as to industrial and commercial facilities in the district. It will also unload the existing 220/110/35/10 kilovolt substations Glavnaya, Teplichnaya, Karagachevaya, Nizhnyaya Ala-Archa.
The company noted that the construction of this substation and the branch line of the 110 kilovolt overhead transmission line was in the plan of development of Frunze city in 1989-1990. After the collapse of the USSR, the project was suspended due to lack of funding. The new substation will be commissioned for the first time since independence at the expense of Severelectro’s own funds.
