Kanat Amankulov withdraws candidacy for post of head of Kyrgyzstan's NOC
Acting President of the National Olympic Committee of Kyrgyzstan (NOC) Kanat Amankulov has withdrawn his candidacy for the NOC head position. His circle of associates confirmed the information to 24.kg news agency.
He reportedly wrote a statement about his decision the day before. The reason for his refusal to run for the position of the NOC President is not known yet.
Only two people want to become the president of the Committee now — the head of the Equestrian Federation Sadyr Mamytov, and the head of Kelechek Academy Bolot Motukeyev.
Earlier it was reported that the Secretary General of the National Olympic Committee Salamat Ergeshov resigned.
